*Flat response curve (SQ) is geared towards people looking for responsiveness. This style box is loud on all frequencies, generates little impedance loss, and can utilize an amplifier rated at the same RMS as the subwoofer.

*Boomer response curve (SPL) is geared towards people looking for maximum loudness. This style box will be louder than the flat response curve at some frequencies, has a high impedance rise, and can utilize an amplifier rated at a slightly higher RMS than the subwoofer.

*Enclosure recommendations do not account for subwoofer, bracing, and port displacement.

Skar who....

This lil Tropo 10 2ohm with a CT Sounds 1000.1 RMS putting about 720 watts sounds amazing and I'm just breaking it in for my son. Perfect introduction to a 16 yr old to one of my hobbies. Yes it hits hard, but it also sounds really clean and if your beating but it's trash and dirty then you need to start over. So this is a perfect speaker for someone like my 16-year-old son getting introduced to his first stereo system to a 40 plus year old man that has had countless arrangements of every top brand you can imagine and I enjoy it in my truck I have the same exact speaker the same exact answer I just run mine in a sealed box for SQ. I hope this helps someone.

CT Sounds should've been my first choice

CT Sounds should've been 1st choice. I was looking for two 12s that could handle 1000w RMS. I had made a purchase from NVX and after four days I called to see why my order had not shipped. I was told then they were on backorder. I was furious. I had looked at CT Sounds before making that purchase but I went with NVX because they were quite a bit cheaper. I decided after that fiasco to get the CT Sounds Tropos, and I was glad the NVX purchase fell through. CT Sounds got my subs to me in two days and when I got them I could see the difference in build quality with the stitching, the venting, and the fat magnet and heavier weight. And when I went to their website, I was able to sign up and get 11% off the first purchase. I was going to go with a budget wiring kit but I went ahead and got the CT Sounds 0ga OFC wiring kit to power my setup. I wish they sold fuses and holders individually but they don't. The Tropo subs I bought are more than enough for me and they handle my 1400w RMS amp well at 3/4 gain. I don't know much about sound quality with subwoofers. I have always built my own sub boxes, and I build big boxes with big ports. I love 30ish tuning and all my subs have sounded great. What I do know is that these subs drop deep thunderous bass you can feel in your chest. That's how I like my bass. I don't want tight, short bass notes and I like my really low notes to sound off. I'm a CT Sounds customer now.

Mediocre

Bought a tropo 12 to replace a 14 year old fosgate p2 12 and the fosgate still sounds better and hits harder than the tropo 12
