*Flat response curve (SQ) is geared towards people looking for responsiveness. This style box is loud on all frequencies, generates little impedance loss, and can utilize an amplifier rated at the same RMS as the subwoofer.

*Boomer response curve (SPL) is geared towards people looking for maximum loudness. This style box will be louder than the flat response curve at some frequencies, has a high impedance rise, and can utilize an amplifier rated at a slightly higher RMS than the subwoofer.

*Enclosure recommendations do not account for subwoofer, bracing, and port displacement.

Stop clipping and it won’t smell

For the review that “C” left, what size amp
Do you have. How did u tune it? You need to give this clean power. Yes you will always be smelling it, even if it’s 200 watts if you’re giving it a clipped signal. My brother has one of these and he’s feeding it 5k rms of clean power and it wants more. Been doing this for over a year too….. so, how it’s so easy to blame the product.. you may want to brush up on your install/tuning knowledge bc I will say with confidence you are wrong and user error

great but

ive noticed over the time ive had this the rated rms of 3000 for constant play they tend to only play for bout 2 minutes b4 you start to smell them get a lil warm
i thought rms was for constant play guess not with these but cant complain to much still a great sub just seems to be overrated on the rms power

Monster of a sub

I waited to write this review for a few months because I really wanted to put this sub through its paces. I'll be the first to admit that I underestimated just how big, heavy, and power hungry it was going to be. That mistake cost me some unnecessary money buying amps that were too small (because how much power can a single 12 actually handle, right?). Im currently running it on a JP33, and at times I still wonder if its underpowered. Anything under 3k watts, and its laughing at it. I highly recommend this sub for anyone whos planning to run a serious amount of power, along with the correct electrical, including lithium and an upgraded alternator. With the correct power and enclosure, its violent as hell. If you are looking to stay within a tight budget and dont want/plan to do the necessary upgrades to run the kind of power that these subs require, the Exo might not be the best choice for you.
