I
I have been running these 6.5 in meso speakers in my truck for around a year and I couldn't be happier. I have these speakers amplified with a small mono block amp class D. They are loud but still have that crisp sound. I have component set in the front and co-axle in the rear of my 00’ suburban. I was able to hit 120 db, but unfortunately that’s what my meter maxes out at. The only issue I had with these speakers was the fitment. The front were pretty much plug and play they mounted in just fine. The rear doors on my suburban have a metal support in the worst spot so I had to use a spacer. Overall these are some of the nicest sounding 6.5 I have owned.
Installed 2 pair in the doors & dash of my 16 Kia Forte & the fronts needed spaced out about 5mm to clear the windows, they are that deep. With that said the clarity & volume is incredible. The louder you turn it up the better they get. They compare pretty close to my years ago Sony Mobile ES set in my last build but much cheaper than they were. Love the adjustable tweeter too. Can't wait to add power & hopefully a better deck in the coming weeks. Thinking Meso 10's for lows.
I am really impressed with these component speakers. I run these with a Polk D5000.5 amp that runs 70w rms. These things sound clear and will thump pretty good for a 6.5. I would definitely recommend trying these if you have not yet.
I haven't installed these yet they appear to be decent fairly beefy mid, I've ran some meso pro audio 6.5s before and they did pretty good overall, hoping these do the same with some added mid bass, only complaint so far is the tweeters aren't the bushed aluminum or stainless like the 3 way set or the tweeters that are sold separately.
