The CT Sounds TROPO-1X8D2 is a pre-loaded single 8” ported car subwoofer box that takes the guesswork out of finding the perfect subwoofer and enclosure for your system. The bass package features our TROPO-8-D2 800-watt max power 8-inch car subwoofer which comes pre-installed flush into the 1.25” front baffle using claw nuts and fasteners ensuring an air-tight seal. Additionally, the dual 2-ohm subwoofer is pre-wired inside the enclosure using 12 gauge ofc wire for a 1-ohm final impedance at the terminal cup. This is a true plug-n-play offering - simply run a +/- wire from the terminal cup to the +/- speaker terminals of your amplifier.
The unique high-performance kerf-port, typically only seen in custom enclosures, allows the air pressure to exit smoothly and quickly creating extreme levels of responsive bass output. Furthermore, from the top to the bottom of the interior port walls is a 3-mm rabbet-groove that runs 80-mm into the port on the left/right interior port walls - this allows the premium black carpet to lay flush inside the port with zero-edge providing a smooth exit for the air and eliminating port-noise. Lastly, the enclosure was constructed using advanced joinery practices - dado joints connect the exterior left, right, top, bottom, and back wood pieces, and miter joints connect the corners of the box by cutting the wood at a 45-degree angle. These joinery practices ensure maximum surface contact and eliminate vibration.
From the second you open the package, to the moment you pull the loaded enclosure out of the thick cardboard box, you will immediately recognize the craftsmanship and details that went into not just the secure packaging but the overall design of this product.

I bought 4 of these for my wife's car. At first I did not like how these were modeling on the box software so I decided to only use two just in case they didn't work out right or was I wrong two of these is easily equivalent to one decent 12 ported. I have these in a series tuned sixth order plays from 23 to 68 effortlessly I am truly blown away. Box specs are .74 after displacement tuned to 29 with 7.4sq in of port and 1.2 tuned to 56 with 28sq in of port. 6in ported and sealed thru the rear deck. Rap, R and B, Country it doesn't matter they are super loud on 200 watts for both. When they break in I'll give em about 750 watts. Not cleaned up up just testing.
I have the 1500 on a kicker L7 and love how it pushes it!!!
Man, when I ordered this sub, I was thinking 🤔 how big can this sub really be. When I opened up the boxes, I was stunned at how massive this beast is... huge motor and heavy asf. Have it running on a 3k rms amp in a custom box tuned to 32 hz, 2.5 cubes, 320amp alternator, and an extra xs power D3400 battery. This sub slams let me tell you. Very very happy with this subwoofer and the all around experience from purchase to playing music on it. This sub is for those who want that extra punch in the chest. If you don't have the muscle to back up this beast then it ain't for you
Haven’t put my CT sound 2000.1D amp in yet. Have hooked up to old infinity 600watt amp and it ROCKS !!! Can’t wait to install the big amp !!!!
