NEO8-4 // 275 Watts RMS 8” Midrange Speaker

This speaker is seriously impressive. The volume gets incredibly loud without losing any clarity, which is something a lot of speakers struggle with but not this one. The sound stays crisp and clean even at high levels.

Bought 3 of these from a friend for $80. Bought 5 more from one of their Cyber day deals.
I had already installed these speakers in my rear deck and front doors. 4 across the rear and 2 in each of the front doors.So my amp arrived today so I had to get it installed and bumping today! These speakers are rated at 275rms. I'm running a Salt 500.4 so I never expected them to handle it's full power. I'd say it's accurately rated at 275-300rms.After setting the gains using a DD-1 I eventually used my DSP to lower all 4 channels by 12dbd. I still think I may need to reduce a lil more, but it could be my tweeters since they sound like shit when I fade the mids out. One thing about these Neo8-4's I put them thru the wringer tonight..drove around about 2.5-3 hours. Part of that time I had not reduced the DSP down 12db. I never smelled the voice coil burning at all..This is truly amazing it itself!..just could tell they couldn't handle full power by breakup. Every 8 inch speaker I ever installed I smelled them burning at one point. These will be my De facto speakers. They fit my rear deck and customspeakerpods in my doors perfectly.
