one Speaker ,4 ohm Dual Voice Coil

Subwoofer Wiring Wizard, One 4 ohm Dual Voice Coil (DVC) Speaker

Option 1 (parallel) = 2 ohm load

4-ohm DVC subwoofer/speakers are rated at 4-ohm at each pair of terminals and connecting one piece in parallel (for subs/speakers voice coil connectivity terminals), as the image shows; halves the equivalent impedance for the amplifier. Therefore, you’ll need an amplifier rated at 2-ohm! Equivalent impedance: 2? (ohm) Recommended amplifier: Stable at 2 or 1-ohm mono amplifier

Option 2 (series) = 8 ohm load

4-ohm DVC subwoofer/speakers are rated at 4-ohm at each pair of terminals and connecting one piece in series (for subs/speakers voice coil connectivity terminals), as the image shows; adds them for equivalent impedance to the amplifier. Therefore, you’ll need an amplifier rated at 8-ohm! Equivalent impedance: 8? (ohm) Recommended amplifier: Stable at 4 or 2 or 1-ohm mono amplifier
