Nice sound
I dont know how reliable it is,… but sound great and strong,… keep going ct,… im keep going buying ct sounds products.
I haven’t amplified them yet but they are some mean 6x9’s keep in mind those magnets are thick make sure if your putting them in factory openings that you have room or room for spacers and still be able to put the panel back in place
These 6x9s are beasts! They can move serious air, and still hold up without getting harsh. Decent detail and sound-staging, and they get down to about 35Hz in my doors! They can take all that the CT800.5D amp can deliver...the whole thing sounds great!
I bought these to replace the stock rears in my ‘13, non-JBL Camry. I have these installed alongside my CT Tropo 2x12s (powered by a CT AT23001D), and JL C2 components (powered by the headunit). The best word to sum these up is awesome. I don’t even want to say “for the price point”, because that tarnishes the connotation, but these things are perfect and the price isn’t bad at all, especially compared to their quality. I installed them a couple months ago and have been nothing but happy with them since. They’re powered by an aftermarket head unit, but haven’t gotten their own amp yet. Either way, so far they have a great, dynamic range and rich tone all the way through. The 6x9 woofer puts out great mids and lows. The difference between the stock and Meso speakers was immediately noticeable. Once they get more power though, the bass actually gets a little punchy, if you’re sitting next to it. Keep in mind, I haven’t experienced them at their full 100W (each) power, but whatever my head unit puts out at higher volumes. The12s have a very slight response lag, which isn’t bad but noticeable if you’re listening for it. With the Mesos though, they pick up that lag and clean up the perceived response significantly. With their 40Hz floor, they hand off perfectly with the subs and give clean, accurate sound all the way through the highs. The silk-dome tweeter gives clean and clear sound without the ear-piercing harshness of tweeters made with harder materials, like metal. Obviously your EQ and X-Over settings affect everything that I’ve said, but if you have them set right, you can really get a great sound. I personally wouldn’t put these in my front doors unless you’re in a car without space for rears, like a single cab, just so that I can preserve some sort of sound-stage. If you’re just going for loud and clear though, line the car with these things.
